We were born creative.
why did we stop playing?

seven years ago…

We were part of a fully remote team. While the team was full of perfectly wonderful and talented people, there was something that held us back from breaking that weird Zoom barrier and getting to a place where we felt completely comfortable with each other, gave each other honest feedback and collaborated openly and effectively. Going to work 40+ hours a week with a group of people you weren’t as connected to felt a little daunting.

One day we decided to break the script and set aside 30mins for a new activity. At the end of the call, we scheduled the next and did it again, and again, and again. Our team went on to become one of the happiest, most collaborative and successful teams in the company. Seven years and multiple job changes and teams later, we’ve managed to keep meeting to do that activity, with new people and with each other, and we continue to connect, create and share joyful moments with others. We’ve built relationships for life.

what was this ominous call?

It was a gym for creativity, improv for non-performers, a contest to push our imagination and exercise our brains with creative HIIT workouts, a playful hangout.

You only get 10 minutes and have to create something completely new based on a prompt we’d come up with on the call. The only rules were that it was a fully judgment-free zone, and the weirder our pieces, the better. We went in with an open mind, and out came insane drawings, hilarious poems, epic screenplays, moving performances, extremely illogical product ideas and, most importantly, hearty laughter, stronger relationships, and joy. We felt more connected to each other, gave and received feedback like never before, and made each other grow and work better. We couldn’t wait to see you each other and work together everyday.

What is your weirdest superpower? (Mine is that I can smell terrible things easily)

What would your origin story be?

Think about the last person you interacted with. What would your superhero duo team be called?

It’s fun to indulge in playful imagination, right? We don’t have to do anything with it besides exercising our minds. Maybe it made you chuckle or reminded you of your childhood - a time when creativity and lack of judgment made space for so much joy. Everything in the world was so exciting, and the possibilities were endless and crazy! We were all creative!

Creativity is extremely powerful, joyful, and what makes us innately human. Being creative helps us relax, energize our minds and bring us closer . We spend so much time and resources exercising and nourishing our bodies, let’s do the same for our minds. This is a return to playtime, a creative gym, creative improv,  - a space for people to connect on a deeper and more joyful level through creative exercises. Let’s fill the world with imagination, laughter, and connection together!

Join us for our next call and you’ll meet some new people and get those creative juices flowing, share some laughs and build some connections.
